Our client is looking for an enthusiastic experienced pension professionals to join their Implementation function as an Implementation Consultant across Data, Calculations and Scheme Benefits.

This role can be remote or hybrid depending on the candidate.


Are you looking for a new pensions contracting role? We have exciting opportunities with one of our clients to support work on one of their biggest projects. The roles sit across Configuration, Calculations, Scheme Benefits and Data Analysis (specifically migrations). The Implementation Department’s responsibility it is to implement first class pension administration solutions for new and existing clients. In this role the Implementation Consultant will hold a pivotal role in delivery of this project.

Our client will provide ongoing training on our systems and support the ongoing development of your pensions knowledge. The contract is for a minimum of 6 months with possibility of 12 month extension for a total of 18 months.

What will you be doing?

  • Review, interpret and identify project & process impacts as a result of changes to pension legislation and technical guidance
  • Lead on complex client implementation projects
  • Gather and interpret client requirements and processes, then translate these into system solutions
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve client queries
  • Risk and issue identification as well as mitigation

What we are looking for:

  • For Data Analysis roles, migration experience on large and complex schemes is a must have
  • In depth Defined Benefit pensions knowledge and thorough understanding/experience of Annuities, Defined Contribution pensions, Career Average Revalued Earnings schemes
  • Great technical knowledge on defined benefit pension schemes and legislation
  • Ability to work in an a-synchronous way and communicate clearly
  • A pensions technical subject matter expert
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Strong stakeholder management experience as well as people management experience/skills
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills: can analyse scheme documentation and translate into internal processes, configuration and setup
  • Able to interpret scheme rules
  • Client relationship skills with the ability to use appropriate communication methods with stakeholders
