Naval Architect - Outside IR35 (SC Cleared)
Our client, a leading company in the Defence sector, is seeking a highly skilled Naval Architect for a contract position. As a Naval Architect, you will play a crucial role in supporting the generation and delivery of technical outputs within a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development and validation of whole boat concept sizing tool using Excel
- Verification and validation of FDG toolsets
- Creation and improvement of 3D spatial models using Rhino3D
- Designing General Arrangement using Rhino3D/AutoCAD
- Generation and development of stability models using Paramarine
- Conducting side studies to investigate whole boat impact and explore design characteristics
- Producing evidence and conducting analysis on design elements such as PH Sizing, Cladding Impact, Manning, Margins, Infrastructure, and Armament
- Preparation of Consolidated Design Reports
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience as a Naval Architect
- Proficiency in Excel, Rhino3D, and AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of stability modeling using Paramarine
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical disciplines and report progress to team leader
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- SC Clearance (Security Check)
