Imperial Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Piping Engineer on behalf of a long established multi-disciplined engineering consultancy based in Teesside.

Overview:

The individuals would be able to lead piping design activities, to produce both 2D and 3D designs, including GA drawings, piping isometrics and pipe support drawings. Conversant with ASME B31.3 design code requirements, industry codes of practice, standards, and relevant sections of statutory documentation applicable to piping design. The candidates should also be experienced in the Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Pharma / Food industries completing both brown field and green field designs.

Your duties are but not limited too:

Externally you will work with core clients, third party engineering consultants, manufacturing partners and suppliers.

• Holding virtual/face to face meetings with clients
• Developing and maintaining project schedule and budget
• Producing conceptual designs with validating calculations where required
• Producing detailed designs from successful concepts
• Producing design risk assessments and project documentation
• Managing design engineers
• Experience working with laser scan point clouds.
• Site surveys and report writing.
• Production and checking of general arrangement drawings, piping isometric drawings and pipe support drawings.
• Conversant with ASME B31.3 design code requirements, codes of practice, standards, and relevant sections of statutory documentation applicable to piping design.
• Able to create base designs and drawings from agreed work scope.
• Mechanical design experience is also very desirable.

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Degree level qualified.
• Proven Knowledge of pipework design
• Extensive knowledge of pipework fabrication and fabrication practice
• Competent with 2D (AutoCAD)
• Experience leading Piping Design teams.
