Seeking a skilled electrician

.The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing (small amount), maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings in and around the rail (mainly back of house) and it’s group district estate. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with local building codes and safety regulations
  •  Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Perform regular inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues before they become emergencies.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other tradespeople to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  •  Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
  •  Provide guidance and training to apprentices and less experienced electricians as needed.
  •  Stay up-to-date on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in electrical systems and technology.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, explain proposed solutions, and address any concerns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or technical school preferred.
  • Valid electrician license or certification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Rail sector working would be beneficial
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in various working conditions, including confined spaces, heights, and outdoor environments.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings as required by employers or regulatory agencies. Location: The area of works shall cover the span of North Wales but works shall be prioritised and designed to ensure efficient and economic travel from your home address as much as possible. However, from time to time and in the event of emergencies further travel may be required to meet demand andtarget SLA times.
