Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Remedy Education are looking for staff to support an Outstanding Special Needs school in Greenwich. The school provides for pupils aged 11-18 who have special educational needs from a variety of conditions, most of which have autism. Staff will need to have the ability to foster strong relationships with the children and to support them with their learning and development.

The Role will consist of:

  • Providing tailored support and working with children with SEN and complex needs.
  • Supporting the class teacher in creating a safe environment that allows children and other students have fun, learn, and make progress.
  • Academic support.
  • Personal care is involved.

The Ideal candidate:

  • Experience of supporting pupils with SEN on a voluntary or paid basis OR/ experience of supporting those with complex needs in a care setting
  • Driven, energetic and keen to pursue a career in education and special needs.
  • Has a strong commitment to teamwork and upholding the schools values

Position Details:

  • LOCATION - Greenwich
  • POSITION - Learning Support Assistant
  • CONTRACT TYPE - Temporary - Ongoing/Long term
  • MINIMUM DAILY RATE - £90 - £100 per day
  • HOURS - Full time Monday - Friday 8.45am -3.30pm
  • START DATE - ASAP
