Are you a driven professional seeking a rewarding career opportunity? We are currently seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join their esteemed team.
This is a contract role, with a duration of 12 months.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Ownership: Take charge of assigned projects from initiation to completion, meticulously recording and resolving actions through our established tracking system.
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, third-party entities, and internal departments, adeptly managing both commercial and technical aspects to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify and evaluate risks across various domains such as commercial, contractual, and design, employing strategic measures to mitigate their impact on business operations.
- Schedule Management: Define and drive project schedules, identifying critical path items and ensuring all quality assurance elements are meticulously captured.
- Financial Oversight: Maintain accurate financial records, forecasting costs and highlighting significant variations to senior management in a timely manner.
- Progress Tracking: Ensure projects adhere to established milestones and "gates," collaborating closely with all stakeholders to keep projects on track.
- Financial Monitoring: Oversee project cash flow, ensuring invoices align with expenditures and forecasts.
- Contract Management: Manage various construction and engineering contracts, mitigating commercial and technical risks effectively.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Regularly review supplier relationships to expedite deliveries and mitigate delays.
- Transparent Reporting: Ensure timely and transparent reporting of technical, operational, contractual, and financial matters to management.
- Support Functions: Assist sales and operations teams with bid preparation, technical guidance, and coordination efforts.
- Compliance: Adhere to all statutory requirements, particularly those related to Health & Safety.
- Company Policies: Understand and comply with company policies and procedures, including those pertaining to HR and Health and Safety.
- Qualifications: Possess relevant qualifications in Engineering or Project Management, along with industry certifications.
- Experience: Demonstrate a track record of success in similar roles, including client-facing interactions and financial forecasting. This experience must include at least five years’ experience of project/package management on offshore FEED/Detailed Design projects in the oil and gas industry.
- Skills: Showcase proficiency in IT tools, problem-solving abilities, and exceptional communication skills.
