Working days : 4 days (Mon to Thurs) Off on Friday

The Opportunity

This role would benefit from experience working as part of a global company using cutting edge tools systems. Scope of this role increases the exposure to many different areas, such as logistics and transportation and broaden horizons within supply chain.

Belcan Workforce Solution are seeking an Supply Chain Analyst to join our Heavy Engineering client's team in Belfast location. In this role, you will be at the forefront of innovation, leading the execution of small to medium-scale projects that shape the future of our products.

Department and job overview

Supply chain team deal with 100+ multi-geographical suppliers, managing a spend of approximately 150 Million dollars per year. Client make products that support a prime product in one of our large UK facilities, which goes into articulated trucks.

A friendly and engaging team of 12 with a large support network, a large knowledge base to lean on and extensive on the job training.

This is a fast-paced environment with time sensitive work but will be incredibly rewarding.

Job Duties

  • As a supply chain analyst, you are a part of the wider supply chain team, involving all aspects of the role from material planning to production scheduling.
  • The requirements of this role are to ensure the timely delivery of materials to the facility, collaborating with suppliers to coordinate deliveries, shipping schedules and work schedules to meet facility production plans.
  • Customer collaboration to create work schedules for the facility production.
  • This person will be required to perform work to improve point of use material availability, applying root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Minimal Travel Required.

Skills and Experience - Desirable:

  • College or university degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in material control, purchasing, inventory control.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in transportation or logistics
