Office Administrator

£15 - £18/hour

I'm currently recruiting for a Office Administrator to work on a highways scheme in Northampton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and processing of contracts, invoices, and purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and project costs.
  • Support the commercial team in monitoring project budgets and expenditure.
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of services and materials.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with the resolution of commercial issues and disputes as they arise.
  • Provide general administrative support to the commercial team as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the construction or infrastructure industry, ideally with exposure to highways projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and external partners.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures related to commercial activities in construction projects is desirable but not essential.
