TeacherActive is looking for a Qualified Teacher to work in an “outstanding” special school in Ackworth. This school caters to young people aged 11-19 years with severe, complex, or profound and multiple learning difficulties. The school focuses on developing its student’s communication, social interaction, life skills, and community access.

As a Teacher, your responsibilities will include planning lessons and delivering them on a 1:1 basis, supporting and developing SEN students, and catering your teaching to each student’s needs. This is a great chance to gain an abundance of experience to add to your profile and keep every day exciting.

The ideal SEND QTS should have the following:

• QTS with experience in Special Educational Needs teaching
• A calm, patient, and caring persona
• Good behaviour management
• A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
• Experience in working with and supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
