Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute comprehensive HSE strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior management on HSE matters, ensuring a proactive approach to risk management and compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE laws and regulations across the organization's global footprint.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments across all business units and operations to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities.
- Implement effective risk mitigation measures and contingency plans to minimize HSE-related incidents and emergencies.
- Training and Education:
- Develop and implement HSE training programs for employees at all levels, fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
- Provide leadership and support for HSE awareness campaigns and initiatives aimed at promoting employee engagement and accountability.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of HSE programs and initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and board members, highlighting HSE performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Supplier and Contractor Management:
- Evaluate the HSE performance of suppliers, contractors, and third-party vendors, ensuring adherence to contractual requirements and safety standards.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to select and engage with HSE-conscious partners and vendors.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement efforts in HSE management systems and processes, leveraging data-driven insights and feedback mechanisms.
- Drive innovation in HSE practices and technologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in a senior HSE leadership role, preferably within a multinational corporation or similar complex organizational structure.
- In-depth knowledge of global HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks, develop strategies, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated track record of driving cultural change and promoting a safety-conscious work environment.
- Availability for travel as needed.
