PSR Rail are currently recruiting for a Contractors Engineering Manager for a major Track renewals, PWAY and track side civils schemes.

You will be expected work within the rail aspects of design and associated works with the other disciplines and to deliver design work safely to the level of quality expected. This role will be to manage works with a focus on Track renewals at delivery stage of a major project in London

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for managing the Engineering input to the construction Programme and technical advice and contribution to Budget Preparation, and thereafter accountable for Engineering aspects of the Delivery of projects to programme and technical / compliance standards.
• Ensure that the engineering aspects of all site works, investigations, design, engineering construction, procurement, audits and work contract supervision are carried out in accordance with relevant requirements.
• Prioritise and control all engineering and design activities across allocated Transpire project/s.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, contractual, legal and special requirements.
• Provide professional and technical engineering advice throughout allocated project/s.
• Embrace and control compliance with Company procedures, policies and delivery plans, as well as relevant Improvement Plans.
• Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are given the highest priority.
• Develop and drive forward innovation.

Essential requirements:

• Education to HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent suitable experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of permanent way and related engineering principles, including interfaces between disciplines.
• Held CEM status previously
• Good knowledge and understanding of track standards, processes and procedures.
