Are you a dedicated and qualified teacher with a passion for helping students excel in their studies? We are seeking a Home Tutor with expertise in Primary years, being KS1 or KS2, teaching Maths, English and additional subjects.

Whether you prefer full-time or part-time hours, this role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the academic success of our students in the comfort of their own homes.

I am currently seeking a patient and dedicated tutor to work with a young pupil in their home, this young person has been out of school for several months due to SEN diagnosis and being unable to navigate the school environment with his dealings of mental health.

The young person has been taking part in on-line tuition, however it has been decided that face-to-face tuition sessions would now be more beneficial, therefore a tutor to work with this Key stage 2 pupil is required to support the young person in their own home to provide tuition for key subjects and work on building their confidence and self-esteem, and support their transition to secondary SEN school in September.

The ideal tutor will initially build a strong relationship with the young person before incorporating learning opportunities based around the young persons EHCP and school targets and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional one-on-one tutoring sessions to students, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the subject matter.
  • Develop customised lesson plans and teaching materials that align with the national curriculum and cater to the unique learning needs of each student.
  • Assess and regularly monitor the progress of your students, adjusting your teaching methods to maximise their learning outcomes.
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment that motivates students to excel.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians to provide feedback on student progress and address any concerns.
  • Keep accurate records of tutoring sessions and student performance.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Previous experience as a Home Tutor, particularly at the primary level, is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in Maths and English, with the ability to teach other subjects being a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals.
  • The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual learning needs of each student.

Working Hours:

The working hours for this position are flexible and can be tailored to your availability. Whether you're seeking full-time or part-time work, we can accommodate your schedule. The role includes 1 to 2 hours of planning time per student, depending on the length of tutoring sessions.
