The UK's leading nuclear and defence company is looking to add a highly skilled engineering manager who comes from a heavily regulated sector. The ideal engineering manager will have vast experience in this role and will have worked client side in their previous role.

  • Job Title - Engineering Manager
  • Location - Reading 3 days a week
  • Contract length - 18 months
  • Pay rates - £63.29 hour (INSIDE IR35)

This role is ideally suited to a candidate that will be able to understand the complexities of the highly regulated world of nuclear and defence and someone who has been an engineering manager for a few years minimum.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Mechanical, electrical or building services engineering background
  • Multidiscipline experience (Mechanical engineering focus would be beneficial)
  • Experience with highly regulated industry
  • Ability to capture engineering requirements and produce technical documentation and specifications.
  • Engineer with design experience
  • Intimate understand of project governance skills and techniques for team management and project safety
  • The knowledge of stakeholder engagement
  • High level communication

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years in highly regulated fields
  • Experience in the engineering management role
  • Relevant engineering degree
  • Knowledge and understanding of design and the design process
