Fabrication Supervisor Coating

Fabrication Supervisor Coating required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in Denmark.

Responsibilities

  • Weekly reporting to the Lead Fabrication Manager.
    * Inform the Lead Fabrication Manager of all significant technical issues, in particular risks, and assist in the development of contingency plans.
    * Review time schedule for manufacturing and certification.
    * As Employer's yard representative actively engage with third party inspectors to ensure certification of defined scopes remains on track.
    * Proactively ensure EPC fabrication works are carried through in compliance with contractual requirements.
    * Monitor progress and quality of Fabrication contractor's deliverables:
    * Steel structure inclding jacket, grillage and seafastening
    * Welding and NDT
    * Surface treatment
    * Inspection of materials delivered to site and the correct storage and preservation.
    * Plan Digital Inspections and ensure they are performed, using Client DIT app, leveraging the Client inspector(s) on site.
    * Lead the dialogue with internal stakeholders.
    * Review key deliverables from the Contractors within own scope.
    * Follow-up on technical clarifications, design changes and NCR during fabrication.
    * Ensure compliance to HSE and quality standards for project execution.
    * Manage QA and HSE, participate in risk assessments, weekly safety walks and toolbox talks etc.
    * Give input to Design Critical to Quality (CTQ).
    * After contract signing ensure updating of Critical to Quality (CTQ) and control of CTQ is transferred to Quality Activity Schedule (QAS).

Requirements

  • Practical as well as theoretical experience with fabrication and inspection such as : IWI International Welding Inspector, IWS International Welding Specialist, IWT International Welding Technician or IWE International Welding Engineer.NDT level II or III (a plus).
  • Frosio level III / NACE.
  • Bachelor's or Master in civil or mechanical engineering with practical experiences of heavy duty steel structure manufacturing.
  • Technically strong, adaptable, works well in teams, strong communication abilities.
  • Good English skills both writing and verbal.
  • 10 years of site experience on fabrication yards, pre-assembly or construction sites.
  • 3 years of experience from similar position.
  • 3 years of experience in the offshore wind industry.
