Role and Responsibilities of SEN Teacher:

As a SEND Teacher, you'll play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and delivering effective lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with diverse learning requirements.
  • Adapting teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
  • Collaborating closely with fellow educators and support staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Implementing strategies to support the social and emotional well-being of students with SEND.
  • Utilising innovative and imaginative teaching techniques to engage and inspire students.

Requirements for SEN Teacher:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • A strong understanding of various SEND conditions and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A genuine passion for creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
