We are looking for a Human Resources Consultant for a temp to perm position in the Kensington and Chelsea area to start in immediately.

Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Rate: £22.36 PAYE

Successful candidate will provide a comprehensive, expert Employee Relations service to the service/business area assigned.

Experience/Abilities required:

  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Ability to process data accurately and in a timely manor
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • In depth knowledge and skills gained in an Employee Relations role
  • Evidence of working effectively more broadly in HR
  • Knowledge and experience of Windows based applications.
  • CIPD qualified and/or equivalent experience – minimum CIPD level 5 preferred

Key responsibilities: (full JD will be provided to shortlisted candidates)

  • To ensure the successful delivery of core Employee Relations activity across a department and across the Council as designated, whilst assisting the HR&OD partnering function across a service/ business area enabling the department to deliver its business objectives.
  • Deliver ad-hoc training and engagement sessions for staff and managers related to employment law and related issues as required. 
  • To keep up to date with changes to employment law. To develop and deliver training sessions on changes both for HR staff and managers across designated service areas and corporately
  • To be responsible for advising and guiding managers through the Council’s range of employment related policies, procedures and related employment law ensuring the Council is operating best employment law and practice contributing to an effective employee relations function
  • Manage an ER caseload practically, professionally and at pace liaising with all stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes for the organisation
  • To contribute to the development and delivery of team development sessions as detailed within the annual HR Operations and Partnering action plan.
