Teaching Assistant 

Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £75 - £95 per day
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education invites applications for the role of Teaching Assistant in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will provide classroom support to teachers, assisting in the delivery of an engaging education for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation and delivery of lessons, ensuring materials are ready and classrooms are set up.
  • Providing support to individual students or small groups to help them understand lesson content.
  • Monitoring and supporting student behaviour in class and around the school, promoting positive behaviour.
  • Assisting with the planning and implementation of IEPs for students with additional needs.
  • Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
  • Good understanding of educational practices and the national curriculum.
  • Ability to work effectively with children, demonstrating patience and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A relevant educational qualification or a degree is highly desirable.
