About the role

As a Teaching assistant you play a crucial role in supporting Teachers and students throughout the busy school day. You will be the first point of contact for any additional support a student may require on a 1-1 basis and some days you will also be required to provide general cover supporting the entire class so adaptability is essential for this role. Working with a mixture of mainstream and SEN students you will need to think on your feet and be ready to get stuck in from day one as no two days will ever be the same!

Connex Education are working with a large school based in Middlesbrough  who are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with their students . it is well established main stream secondary school based within Middlesbrough. They are looking to recruit someone who has previous experience working in a UK based school setting or has worked with students in other settings such as residential care, care worker, youth worker or sports coach. 

Assignment Details

The role is full time during term time only. Hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am until 2:30pm . The role is a long term supply role until July 2024 with the potential to also continue from September 2024.

**Role Requirements**

• Previous experience working in Educational or Care 
• A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom
• An understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education.
