What you'll be doing:

As the Purchase Ledger Supervisor, you will lead the purchase ledger team, ensuring accurate processing of invoices within set deadlines. You will review and authorise payments, manage the supplier and subcontractor database, and support the finance controller with reporting duties. Your keen eye for detail and efficient management skills will enhance the operations of the purchase ledger function. ๐Ÿ“Š๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ’ผ

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and supporting the purchase ledger team
  • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices
  • Reviewing and authorising payments
  • Managing the supplier and subcontractor database
  • Assisting with purchase ledger reporting duties
  • Conducting one-to-one meetings and appraisals with team members

Experience and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • A Level education preferred

Skills and knowledge:

  • Knowledge of office administration and procurement
  • Understanding of customer service's impact on business
  • Familiarity with CIS tax, VAT Domestic Reverse Charge, and IR35 (desired but not essential)
  • Proactive and hands-on approach
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • Deadline and target-oriented
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service-oriented mindset
  • Proficient in Excel and IT skills
