GSL Education is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our client schools in Slough, UK. Our immediate need for Cover Supervisors presents an excellent opportunity for Teaching Assistants or aspiring education professionals seeking hands-on experience before committing to a full-time role.
The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising classes across the curriculum in the absence of a teacher
- Ensuring pupils complete pre-planned work and managing their behaviour in a positive and safe learning environment
- Liaising with staff to gather required resources and providing feedback on pupil attendance, engagement, and work completion
To be Successful:
- You should hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher, or be a Graduate considering a career in education.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies is preferred, but training can be provided.
- Willingness to undertake additional training and courses for professional development is essential.
- Empathy and excellent communication skills are necessary for working with young people.
- You should be able to use your initiative and adapt to different situations.
Must have a valid Enhanced Child Only DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
