The role will involve cable routing through a locomotives chassis and bodywork, renew wiring and looms, crimp to a high standard and maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times. There is a strong desire for excellence during a programme of conversions. You will have a sound and proven background in wiring in a similar industry/role
Key attributes will include:
Eye for detail
Excellent work ethic and reliability
Commitment to working to a high standard
Diagnostics, fault finding
Adept with working with testing tools
Capable and prepared to support colleagues in undertaking mechanical activities (Team Work)
Qualifications in an Electrical or Electronics subject
Due to the nature of the working environment, you should be fit and healthy and be capable to access and work in some confined spaces
Working routine, shift patterns
37.5 hours per week plus occasional overtime
Monday to Friday - Rostered
Weekly rotational shift, 06.00 to 14.30 and 14.00 - 22.30
This is an excellent opportunity for those from an Aviation, Military, Automotive, Plant electrical/electronics background to get a solid engineering foot in the door of the Rolling Stock/Rail Industry. We'd even be happy to welcome those already in the Rail Sector
