About this Role:

You will be reporting in to the company director and based in the head office working in the pre contract early stages for this respected Facade contractor mainly working know UK main contractors on a combination of government and commercial projects such as schools hospital refurbishment , student accommodation and mixed use residential and care home projects both on various frameworks and individually tender schemes .

Working with the head of pre-construction you will Evaluate the tender information and prepare tender action plan and bid strategy to ensure a successful flow of work to be converted for your experienced team.

Duties:

• Receive, acknowledge and check tender documentation and raise queries relating to the tender documentation
• Attend meetings with professional or design teams both during and post tender
• Clearly scope subcontractor and material enquiries and issue to agreed list
• Evaluate and compare quotations received
• Consider alternatives which may produce financial or program advantages
• Fully check the final priced estimate
• Price preliminaries in conjunction with the construction team
• Liaise with other members of the bid team as appropriate
• Comply with and promote the core supply chain philosophy in the preparation of the tender enquiry list
• Ensure that the final TQP is properly signed off in accordance with the QA procedures and completion of the form of tender for signature by a director
• Maintain regular contact with clients and consultant teams and to act at all times in accordance with the company's values

About the Company/Client/Project:

A respected Facade contractor on a number of government frameworks and commercial 1 and 2 stage tenders with and enviable portfolio of profitable projects form student accommodation and university frameworks though to hospitals and commercial sheds offices and care homes from as little as £3 million to as much as £ 30 million in total

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Applicants will have main contractor or client side experience as a standalone estimator on façade packages in cluing curtain walling , glazing and rain screen on projects in excess of £ million in that past as well as steady work history and be based near the Hampshire head office to be able to in the office or at home with client visits as required .

Candidates must be immediately available, have 5-7 year's experience ideally working within a UK based façade contractor or respected regional / main contractor in the past pricing the Facade / envelope packages on numerous projects .

You will be degree qualified from a construction background or hold a HNC/HND in construction.
