Our client is a Developer /  Contractor  involved in the delivery to completion of a £25M Residential Development Project in Bristol.

To support their experienced “Pre-construction Operations Management team”, they now require an experienced “Construction Design / Project Manager”, ideally with a Main Contracting / operational background to support the pre and post contract Design & Delivery phase of this Project through to completion and handover over an 18 – 24 month period.

The project is a 15 Storey Concrete Frame Project with over 150 residential units. There will be a particular focus on the Internals and Joinery Finishes related works packages.

The role will involve approval and agreement of Design team & specialist sub Contractor’s proposals and monitoring and reporting of design variations to produce a clear Design change management audit trail during the project life cycle through to handover.

The ideal candidate will have aspects of the following profile / background.

• Commercial Main Contracting / Medium to Major Project background.
• Degree qualified with a Construction discipline
• Ability to drive cost savings via “Value Engineering” and to focus on Buildability and Commercial constraints in Design solutions.
• Understanding of Sustainability objectives and Lean Construction Technologies.
• Experience of managing the design process through all RIBA Design Stages
• The individual must have the ability to take a holistic approach to the scheme and take total ownership of Design Solutions for your Project.
