Fawkes & Reece are delighted to be partnered with a World Wide Car Part Distributor who are looking for an ambitious and inquisitive Group Accountant in Sheffield.

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of group and consolidated reporting across the organisation, including liaison with external advisers. You will also support the Head of Group Reporting with the integration and updates of the finance system and deputise for them if required.

This role would suit a practice trained, chartered accountant or Trained Accountant with industry experience and a solid technical grounding. You must have good knowledge and experience of statutory accounts and be confident in your own management abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily bank postings for payments & receipts, sales and purchase invoices
• Journal postings - Wages, Accruals/Reverse accrual, Prepayment and Visas/expenses
• Reconciliations at each month end - PAYE, Wages control, Rebates, Accruals, Prepayments and Bank accounts
• VAT returns - Customs, Corporation tax prepayment and Local taxes/fees
• Wages & PAYE
• Year-end accounts and postings - Supporting auditors
• Overseeing Corporation tax

Key Attributes

• Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
• Ideally 1-2 years post-qualified experience
• Experience producing statutory accounts
• Must have experience working on Microsoft Dynamic AX
• Management skills
• Collaborative communicator, with a drive to network across the business to complete key projects and meet deadlines

What's on offer?

• The hourly rate of £25.00ph - £29.00ph, depending on experience
• 6 months contract which could be extended
• 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
