Caretaker needed for a Secondary School in Barnsley

£90 - £120 per day (dependent on experience)

Due to increased demand within Barnsley, TeacherActive is currently recruiting passionate caretakers to work in our Secondary Schools. A caretaker is an experienced individual who is confident in fixing a whole manner of different projects within a school. This could be a permanent position for the right candidate.

An amazing caretaker is someone who is:

• Highly organised
• Strong character
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills. 
• Flexibility
• Patient

The responsibilities of a caretaker include but are not limited:

• Fixing a multitude of different tasks in and around the school
• This can include minor joinery work, painting, small electrical projects and knowing when a job needs professional companies to attend
• Maintain and upkeep of the perimeter of the school grounds
• Flexibility to respond to emergencies
• Deal with any immediate issues such as emergencies in complete accordance with the school’s procedures and policies.
