Cover Supervisor

Location: Sheffield 
Pay: £95 - £110 per day

GSL Education Sheffield are currently seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our team for both day-to-day and long-term assignments in secondary schools across Sheffield. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of the school day in the absence of the classroom teacher, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to work within the education sector. 

About the Role: 

• Supervise classes during the absence of the teacher, ensuring students remain on task with the work they have been set. 

• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a constructive working environment. 

• Respond to any questions from pupils about process and procedures. 

• Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school's policies and procedures. 

• Collect completed work after the lesson and pass to the appropriate teacher.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

• A degree (or UK equivalent) and/or experience working within a school setting (preferred but not essential). 

• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to promote focus and discipline. 

• Excellent communication skills. 

• A resilient, adaptable, and professional approach to work. 

• Eligibility to work in the UK.
