Due to continued investment, this leading-edge manufacturing business is currently in the midst of a huge recruitment drive and is looking for a Logistics Controller to join their growing team in Burnley on a 8 month contract basis.

The Role

Within the role of Logistics Controller you'll be responsible for:

Mission: manages, coordinates and is responsible for the reporting of all inventory activities to enable the achievement of reliable targets in order to optimise inventory levels and costs with the UAP.

Provides the escalation point between manufacturing and stores/ suppliers who deliver direct to the point of use
Manages the manufacturing units needs defined in the ERP system and in line with the defined inventory rules
Organises the activity and inventory storage for the point of use components for the manufacturing unit in terms of planning and implementation, analysis and reporting of results
You:

To succeed within the role of Logistics Controller you'll have experience in a similar position, and you'll ideally have the following skills:

Detailed vision of the production processes and their company's supply chain
Proficiency in the MRP2 processes
Knowledge on the market product (aerospace ideally)
Have experience of inventory management and practices
Understand the basic rules of customs and transport
Requirements:

Familiar with the information systems used in the Supply Chain: i.e. ERP, Supplier Portal

Familiar with desktop tools
