Quantity Surveyor - Construction

My client is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join their expanding business—a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate. They operate nationally and handle projects of varying scales, from small-scale renovations to large-scale commercial developments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling project inquiries, ensuring thorough understanding of client needs.
- Generating detailed quotations for clients.
- Interpreting construction blueprints and specifications.
- Completing tender documentation.
- Conducting precise onsite measurements.
- Developing internal pricing structures.
- Monitoring and analyzing project expenses.
- Effectively communicating with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Undertaking nationwide site visits as necessary.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Minimum of 10 years' estimating experience in construction.
- Proficiency in procurement and negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam for measurements is advantageous.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
- Proficient in modern IT systems, with willingness to adapt to company procedures.
- Organized, responsible, and excellent communication skills.
- Possession of a valid UK driver's license.
This role is based in Earlswood, Solihull, with office hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The salary/package starts at £60,000 with a 6-month probation period, offering 20 days of annual leave plus statutory bank holidays and a pension plan.
