We are looking for Gardeners for a temp to perm position in East London, to start in immediately.

Hours: 35 hours per week  

Rate: £16.12/h

Successful candidate will be working in the parks within the borough and maintaining the ornamental areas.

The main purpose of the role:

• Assisting with the maintenance of grass areas to include mowing, edging, and renovation tasks
• To ensure that a high standard of customer care is offered to all sections of the community
• To remove litter and rubbish trapped in shrubs and hedges following the trimming of these
• To carry out gardening and horticultural maintenance to horticultural features under the direction of a Lead Gardener
• All other ad-hoc tasks as requested by the supervisor

Experience / Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience
• Basic gardening skills
• Clean driving licence
• Experience in using gardening tools including lawn mowers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers etc
• Minimum plant knowledge
• Understanding of Health & Safety
• Ability to take and understand clear instructions
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to complete physical tasks unsupervised-
• Customer Care experience / dealing with public
• Ability to work within a team or as a lone worker
