Job Role: SEN Teacher – Mainstream - Science

• SEN Teacher – QTS or QTLS trained
• SEN Teacher – Mixed Secondary School
• SEN Teacher – MPS1 – UPS3
• SEN Teacher – Easter/September start

I am currently working with a fantastic mainstream secondary school with an onsite alternative provision on an exciting new SEN teacher position in the Leeds area.

Starting immediately, the school are looking for an outstanding SEN teacher to join them on a permanent basis.

This position will be to work with a range of learners. You will be required to teach a range of subjects. The most important thing is your approach and attitude to teaching young people who have struggled with mainstream education.

The School:

This mixed comprehensive secondary school based in Leeds to ages of 11-16 with a focus upon providing a highly aspirational, well-rounded education for all students. The school caters for 650 local students and has a newly created designated specialist provision which supports those students who have become disengaged with formal education and require a more tailored approach. The school has excellent and state of the art facilities which supports growth and development.

What you will need:

• Experience working as a qualified teacher
• Expert behaviour management and have a range of techniques
• Experience working with learners with a range of needs
• The ability to re-engage a young person in learning through a range of methods
• These young people need consistency and so you need to be able to commit to working for a long period of time
