Abatec is working with an award-winning, civil engineering contractor to recruit a Section Engineer to join one of the UK’s biggest Civil Engineering projects – Hinkley Point C. Our client requires a freelance Section Engineer with previous experience working in the Civil Engineering sector in a similar position, as well as a background with heavy civils, and setting-out.

As Section Engineer you will:

• Manage a team of Engineers, ensuring compliance with the project requirements.
• Identify and resource materials to support the programme of planned works.
• Identify and record NCR’s, ITPs and changes to scope of works.
• Write, review and issue RAMS.
• Produce look-ahead programme of works, and review progress against programme.
• Be required to undertake security clearance, due to the nature of the project.

Our client requires a Section Engineer with:

• HNC/Degree or in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience of working in a similar position for a Civils contractor
• CSCS card.

Salary/Benefits:

• £325 - £375 Inside IR35 / CIS
