Advanced Practitioner –  Child Protection

Location: Leeds

Rate: £40 umbrella

Hours: 37 Per week

Start: ASAP

Hybrid working available.

An Advanced Practitioner is required for a Child Protection Team in Leeds.

We are recruiting for experienced Advanced Practioners who are able to manage a complex caseload and competing demands comprising of Child and Family Assessments, Child in Need, Child Protection, Child Care Proceedings until permanence.

Advanced Practitioners should be able to practice restoratively with child and families and promote family led decisions to manage risk and meet support needs. Applicants must demonstrate excellent relational work with children and families and be able to engage children through direct work and child centred practice. Applicants will be expected to share their experience and support colleagues within the team with co-worked cases.

The post requires workers to have good analytical assessment skills and with high quality written work.

Advanced Practitioners will need to work as part of a busy but supportive team and share their knowledge and skills to promote the learning culture.

Applicants must be able to drive and have use of a car.

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• Previous Child Protection Experience
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups.
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
