As a design engineer, responsibilities include developing electrical designs, calculations, reports, specifications, schematic, and layout drawings for building services railway projects. The candidate must ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications, implementing quality control measures to guarantee the accuracy, reliability, and safety of electrical designs.

Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, project managers, and engineering managers is crucial for integrating electrical systems with other railway infrastructure elements. The candidate will also be involved in integrating new electrical designs with existing or modified railway systems.

Collaborate, converse, and actively participate in meetings with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address design-related challenges and provide technical support to junior engineers.

The candidate should be capable of resolving design issues and applying knowledge/training to complex tasks with minimal supervision. Efficiently managing work and coordinating electrical design aspects of projects to ensure timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints are essential.

This position is suitable for a Design Engineer currently working in the railway industry

Qualifications, Skills, Experience & Attributes


Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or a number of years of design, construction or assurance experience in railway electrical engineering.

Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
