Abatec is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a leading, tier-one Civil Engineering contractor on a freelance basis in Somerset. This freelance contract is long-term, with the project expected to last 12 - 18 months, and will fall outside the scope of IR35.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working on multi-million-pound highway projects and will be responsible for ensuring all safety, technical, and commercial objectives are met and will also seek to enhance the reputation of the company.

As Project Manager you will:

• Ensure that industry health & safety legislation and standards are upheld.
• Liaise regularly with the client on any concerns at regular project meetings.
• Prepare, check, and implement designs on-site in accordance with the relevant drawings and specifications.

Our client requires a Project Manager with:

• Valid CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certificates.
• Previous highway experience
• A good understating of construction health & safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills.
• HND/HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering.

Salary and benefits include:

• £450 - £500 Outside IR35 / LTD
