We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant.

Contract: Mon - Fri, 8:30AM - 3:30PM - Term Time Only

Salary: Final salary based on experience

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide one-on-one support to a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as experience with speech and language difficulties.

As a Teaching Assistant supporting a child with ASD and speech and language difficulties, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-on-one support to the child throughout the school day, both in the classroom and during specialist activities.
• Implementing individualized learning plans and strategies to support the child's educational and social development, in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.
• Assisting the child with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation, using appropriate techniques and interventions.
• Supporting the child with academic tasks, including literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum subjects, adapting materials and activities as needed to meet their individual needs.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• An Enhanced DBS check to ensure suitability for working with children and vulnerable individuals.
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably with experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
• Knowledge and understanding of autism and speech and language difficulties, as well as experience implementing strategies and interventions to support individuals with these needs.
