We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Art Teacher.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ignite students' passion for art, nurture their artistic talents, and help them develop essential skills for self-expression and creative problem-solving.

Contract: Mon - Fri, 8:30AM - 3:30PM - Term Time Only

Salary: M1 - M6 Teaching pay scale - Final salary based on experience

As an Art Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching a wide range of artistic techniques, mediums, and styles, including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, and digital art.
  • Providing constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them develop their artistic skills, explore their creativity, and build confidence in their abilities.
  • Encouraging students to experiment with different materials and processes, take risks, and think critically about their artistic choices.
  • Incorporating art history, cultural references, and contemporary art practices into lessons to deepen students' understanding of the art world and inspire their own creative practice.
  • Organising and curating student artwork exhibitions and showcases to celebrate their achievements and promote a culture of creativity within the school community.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Enhanced DBS check to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
  • Previous experience teaching art or related subjects in a school or educational setting.
  • A QTS or relevant teaching qualification with a specialisation in art education or fine arts.
  • A passion for art and a deep commitment to fostering creativity, self-expression, and artistic exploration in young people.
  • Strong artistic skills and knowledge across a variety of mediums and techniques, with the ability to inspire and guide students in their artistic journey.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
