As a Fiber Optic Cable Installer you'll play a pivotal role in these groundbreaking endeavours. Your responsibilities will include the installation, termination and testing of fibre optic cable, hydra cables and funnel fibres, as well as overseeing all data cable infrastructure installs including single-mode fibre, hydra cables, and funnel fibres. You'll excel in fault-finding within Datacentres and Technology Rooms using state-of-the-art equipment such as OTDR and Fluke testers, experience in fibre transmission such as DWDM, Ciena, Rack and power installation, while ensuring meticulous labelling of cables according to DPK work schedules. Collaboration is key as you'll liaise with Team Leads to prioritise cabling infrastructure works and resolve service tickets promptly.

To thrive in this role, the ideal candidate will possess essential skills such as a solid understanding of data cabling, hands-on experience with CAT-5e, CAT-6, fibre optic termination and proficiency in fault-finding with OTDR and Fluke testing equipment. Experience with MOPS and DPK schedules is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates with knowledge of end-user ticketing services, strong Excel skills and exceptional interpersonal skills will excel in our dynamic team environment.
