We need an English Teacher to inspire a love for literature in a secondary school.

Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Salary: M1 - M6 Teaching Scale - determined by experience

As an English Teacher, your responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and interactive English lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves creatively and critically analyse texts.
  • Assessing student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods and providing timely feedback to support their growth.

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • An Enhanced DBS check, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students.
  • Previous experience within a school setting, demonstrating your ability to effectively teach and engage students in the study of English.
  • A QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and any relevant teaching qualification, showcasing your expertise in the field of education.
  • Passion for English literature and language, with a commitment to fostering a love for learning in your students.
