Compound Drivers

Location: Corby

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 0700-1700

PAYE Rate: £11.44+ p/h

Employment Type: On-going work

Igloo are currently seeking Compound Drivers to work for our client in Corby. Our client is one of the UK’s largest and most prestigious automotive and logistics company, and successful candidates can expect to play an essential role in their day-to-day operations.

The Role:

• Compound Drivers will be responsible for vehicle movements within large compounds.
• Movements will include moving vehicles into and out of the workshops as well as bay parking within the compound.
• Vehicles will range from small family cars through to high performance and high value cars.
• Compound Drivers will be expected to drive different transmissions, such as, manuals, automatics, semi-automatics, and electric vehicles.
• Compound Drivers will need to carry out an inspection of the vehicle prior to moving them to ensure any damage is reported.
• Compound Drivers will need to be happy to work out in the compound in all weathers and will need to wear car friendly workwear and safety boots.

What kind of person we are looking for?

• You must be comfortable with driving different makes, models, and sizes of vehicles.
• Vehicles will range from manual to automatic gear boxes so, experience with this is a must.
• You must have held a full UK driving licence for a minimum of 2 years with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
• For insurance purposes, candidates must be 21 years of age or older.
• Previous, professional driving experience is desirable.
