This secondary school is conveniently located in Greenwich, making it easily accessible for both teachers and students. General Science and Biology play a central role in the school’s curriculum, and their supported Science department provides a nurturing environment for students to explore their talents.

As a Teacher of Biology, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the school’s students. Your responsibilities will include:

* Planning and delivering engaging lessons that align with the KS3 and KS4 Biology and General Science Curriculum.

* Developing and implementing schemes of work and lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of the students.

* Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies for improvement.

* Collaborating with other members of the Science department to develop and enhance the Biology curriculum and resources.

* Building positive relationships with students, parents, teachers and other school leaders whilst maintaining effective communication channels.

To be considered for this Biology Teacher role, you should meet the following requirements:

* Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in one of the core Science subjects (Chemistry, Physics, Biology)

* Proven experience teaching Biology at KS3 to KS5 with a track record of achieving excellent results.

* Experience Teaching your specialist Science (Biology) at KS5

* Strong subject knowledge

* Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that enables all students to thrive.

* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
