Role Outline:

We are looking for a certified CompEx Electrician to undertake critical duties at a MOD base. This role is suited for individuals with a CompEx certification and experience in hazardous area electrical work. Candidates with a background in heavy engineering projects like power, industrial engineering, utilities, or infrastructure are highly preferred.

Salary: £52,000 base salary, plus weekends, and additional overtime available. 1.5 times after 40 hours, 1.5 times for 6 hours on Saturdays, 2x time overtime on Sundays). YOU DO NOT have to work weekends but there is plenty of shift work and overtime if you want to increase your income.

Duties:

• Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.

• Diagnose and rectify electrical issues, providing quick and effective solutions to maintain project timelines.

• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, fulfilling both safety and performance requirements.

• Work closely with other construction and engineering professionals to ensure electrical work is integrated seamlessly into the overall project.

• Perform regular inspections and testing of all electrical systems, including the use of specialised testing equipment.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to electrical installations, inspections, and repairs, to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.

Candidate Description:

• Background in engineering with relevant academic and training qualifications
• Previous experience in an electrical or compex-related role with level 1-4 as a minimum
• CSCS qualification for managing safely is required
• Ability to work on multiple projects, meeting output and deadline requirements
• Must hold a valid full UK driving license
• Must be eligible to work in the UK
